New Technologies Spied at NAHBS 2008

For those of you who are not familiar, NAHBS is The North American Handmade Bike Show.
It was held Feb 8-10th in Portland, Oregon. I had the pleasure of attending. In addition to all the beautiful bicycles there were a few things in and around the show that caught my eye. What interested me most were examples of new technology that could be of benefit to the cyclist.

Take for example this "collabo":

Velocity Deep V's with Laek House EVLS coating.

(special thanks to my unknown model)

This rim may appear bright white but that is only due to the flash of my camera. Without flash it has a dull black color. For a side by side comparison check out these photos of Squid with his wheelset.

Other examples of high visibility technology could be seen at one of the many NAHBS after parties:
He was very secretive about his technology. He was however nice enough to pose for several photos including one with myself:

Another piece of technology spotted around Portland:

Just one question. How do the blind know it's there?
